Fortunately, government jobs are not going anywhere anytime soon. However, the vast majority of people who want to work in the private sector now have the skills required to achieve these positions.
The best way to deal with government job vacancies is to prepare for them before they happen. The people who choose to do this will usually get hired quicker than the people who are not prepared for these highly competitive jobs.
